Online Events - Teleseminars and Webinars

If your business has a central personality (you, perhaps?) who is comfortable with public speaking, presenting your business message through an online live event may provide distinct opportunities to engage with prospects and customers. Whether you include live question and answer periods or not, teleseminars and webinars can produce valuable content that you can record and later sell as products.

Teleseminars

Teleseminars are easiest to deliver; you just need a telephone and a "bridge line" of some sort that allows your callers to dial in and hear your presentation. There are free online conferencing services that allow up to 250 callers at no charge, and you can sign up for an account and hold your first teleseminar within minutes.

Other fee-based services operate as Voice-over-Internet (VOIP), provide sign up pages and deliver the call-in numbers or offer the call as a webcast, and may include the ability to mute and unmute individuals, record the teleseminar, and automatically deliver replays on the same web page.

Webinars

Webinars allow you to deliver not only audio, but also show your computer's activities to viewers in real-time. If you have a product or service that is better explained with video-based demonstrations, then webinars are your key to delivering your business message.

Webinar services are more expensive, but they do offer automatic recordings of the event. If you prefer, you can also use screen-capture software and separate audio recording to have greater control over the final output.
